China Dolls-Li Shi

Despite a lot of U.F.O, I still move on with new kit. This time, I purchased the whole range with 6 designs. Each design portrays a different character of China’s ancient historical beauties. The stitching was hard at first as the floss seams to form knot here & there. I was annoyed & thinking of putting this kit aside. But then I was advised to pull the floss longer & just leave a bit of floss from the threading hole. I tried & eventually it works ! Thanks Mr. nice Guys for the tips !

Sleepy Boy Pillow Sheet

My second project of pillow case but this time it was a bit different as this is a pre-printed pillow case. I bought 1 set of this, a boy & a girl. A simple design & very easy to stitch as all the printed symbols were clear enough & I don’t even need to refer to the diagram (actually no diagram provided). My stitching speed was quite fast this time. Nevertheless, to make it a pillow case, I will have to re-stitch the outer-line as I removed those lines before stitching the design. Need to seek assistance from tailor then.

Diamond Art-Hello Kitty "Yeah"

Bought this for my niece. At first, I was thinking that since this is rectangle shape diamond & I have never try this before, I might just stick a bit & see how the outcome was compared to round diamond.

I then became obsessed with the shine of these rectangle shape diamond. The shine is very different from the shine of round shape diamond. You have to stick the whole portrait when it comes to rectangle shape diamond but for the round shape diamond, just stick a part of the image, basically just the main character.

Tadaa, I had “accidentally” done half of the design…..I guess its time for me to wrap this kit up & just pass to my niece……

Diamond Art-Yang Gui Fei

Well, this is my first diamond art project. Diamond art is now quite famous in China. From my point of view, it take really less time than cross-stitching & it is very easy that even a children can do it. There are 2 kind of plastic diamond to choose, round or rectangle.  The round shape is easier to stick than the rectangle shape diamond.

Which is more attracting? My doraemon (power bank) or the diamond lady?

Bought the kit for years ago. Cross stitch done...

All done ! Am going to wash & press it neatly before framing it.

Double Happiness

Silk floss was the floss provided in the kit. It was quite hard to stitch with silk floss & I decided to change to Anchor cotton floss which I bought for 50 cents / skein.

Tea - 1

This kit arrived just before CNY. I was really excited with the pre-printed design on the fabric as I assume it really saves me a lot of counting & marking time.

But I was now feeling disappointed as the floss quality quite low………

This is my first time with this brand….Will not buy this brand again……..

 

My current progress is on the teapot…..The whole design got no vibrating colors.....

I continue stitching this after CNY break for more than 1 months……It is 80% done…..

Clearer & brighter image right……Hope that I can done it before June…..

Will need to stitch other kit as preparation for the big day………………
